Eddy Birch has returned to Beverley Town after playing for a number of years higher up in the football pyramid.
Manager Dave Ricardo said:
“For any long time Beverley supporters the name Eddy Birch will remind you of a time of around 12 years ago when a young fresh faced (to be fair he still is fresh faced!) Eddy played down at Norwood at just 17.
Eddy has played a number of years higher up the pyramid and spent pre-season with Bridlington.
He brings a wealth of experience, legs and a positive attitude, and has worked with James Bennett, Steve Mulligan and myself previously. We have a really young squad so Eddy’s knowledge will help increase and speed up their development over the coming weeks, something that was highlighted in Eddy’s first training session on Saturday.
I am sure Stu Akester has one of his famous bear hugs ready for the lad on Wednesday and I know the Beaver faithful will welcome Eddy and his family back down at Norwood.”
