NCEL Premier Division side Beverley Town are promoting the power and importance of wellbeing to the club and local community with their first-ever matchday built around awareness of mental health.
The week building up to their league fixture at Norwood against Hallam on Saturday 5th October 2024, will be used to promote strong mental health, with a number of ideas coming together.
They include signposting and videos on social media, a talk by Andy’s Man Club at the clubhouse, a ‘Wellness Walk’ to the match and a Q&A-style conversation with supporters about the positive impact that following their local club has had on their mental health.
As a multi-sport club, a large amount of adults and youngsters use the facilities and the club is integral to sporting life in Beverley and well placed to try to improve the mental health of everyone involved, not just with the football club.
Further details will be added in the weeks building up to the match and Beverley Town continue to support the East Riding Food Bank as a matchday drop-off location for anyone able to donate to such an important cause.
Beverley Town have also started promoting the East Riding Healthy Minds campaign by sporting a QR code on the sleeve which, when scanned, will take you to the Healthy Minds website.
