The Beavers endured the narrowest of defeats at the hands of Thackley in our first ever game in the NCEL Premier Division.
New signing Danny Earl bagged a penalty on his league debut, which meant we went into half time level at 1 a piece. But unfortunately a 2nd Thackley goal in the 58th minute meant it wasn't to be in terms of getting points on the board in our first game.
With our home match against Albion Sports having to be postponed, our next league encounter is with local rivals Barton Town away on Saturday 10th August.
