Olly's back!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Olly Baldwin has rejoined The Beavers!

Local lad Olly has recently been playing his football in Australia for Whittlesea United, with whom he achieved promotion.

Here are some thoughts of Beaver fans on Olly’s return:

Carl Homes : “I suppose the best compliment I can give to Olly is that he got me back addicted to watching my hometown club. I was asked to come and watch some games after the elevation to the NCEL Div 1 and he quickly stood out by a country mile for me, with the ability to beat people with ease and score some absolute screamers. He also went on a scoring run which was incredible and I was gutted when he left for Oz, but it was an opportunity of a lifetime that he couldn’t pass up. I was excited when hearing about his return and seeing him pull on the Beaver’s shirt again. Glad you’re back home Olly!"

John Uzzell : “It’s great to have Olly home at the Beavers. He really is one of our own and will receive a hero’s welcome back. He was a real stand out player when with us previously and I am sure we are all excited to see him back and scoring bangers!”

Karl Hornsey : “I remember when we came to watch our first Beavers game a couple of years ago. It wasn’t a great game against Retford, but there was something about Olly that stood out and made us come back for more. I think it’s that old-fashioned wing play, of just wanting to get on the pitch and have fun, beat his man and score as many goals as he can. Traditional wingers are often fan’s favourites and it’ll be great to have Olly back. He gives the opposition a different kind of problem and fits right in with our style of play. After coming through the ranks as a kid, it’s brilliant to have that continuity so many years down the line now that Beverley are at their highest point."
